Organic Textures—Orange Peels

Looking for another way of texturing concrete using organic materials, I chose orange peels. I set them up at the bottom of the form, but they floated up to the top. The only one that remained was the dome-shaped piece which presumably stayed at the bottom because of suction.

This is the bottom peel after 48 hours, having shrunk it begins to slip out of its spot, revealing lightly textured concrete. In the end I consider this a failed attempt: the concrete was not highly textured and the pieces didn't stay in place.
